About Elliott
My name is Elliott Kosmicki and I’m 30 years old. I grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and now live in Madison and work as the Affiliate Marketing Manager Web Developer at Musicnotes.com. My job consists of concept design and html/css programming of web pages. Essentially, I specialize in customer usability of a site - taking into consideration what the goal of a page is to do, and then laying that page out in a common-sense way using code that makes complex and detailed things seem easy to the end user. I want you to see a page, think to yourself “this looks easy,” while still having your mind filled with the intended information. I also focus on making our pages display properly across every different brand of browser.
I’m a huge Badger Basketball fan, and never miss a game - whether I’m there, watching on TV, or listening to Matt Lepay on the radio. My current fling is with photography and like experimenting with infrared, HDR, and other cool things. I shoot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-50 and you can see my flickr page here.
I designed my first website in 1998 as a promotional tool for my old record label/production company, In The BASSment Entertainment, and have loved web development ever since. I’m a firm believer in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) as the basis for any web programming, as well as an avid Web Standards supporter. Although I can develop simple back-end scripts with PHP, I don’t mind hiring freelancers to program things I don’t feel like taking the time to learn myself.
My passion has always been music. I went through recording/music business school, was part of the first hip-hop group to perform at a bar in Madison (yes, really - it took forever to convince bar owners that people actually would show up for hip-hop music), moved to Los Angeles to produce instrumental music for TV & film, and now am back in Wisconsin with the largest digital sheet music publisher in the world. I’ve been lucky to be able to keep music as a steady force in my life. You can also take a look at some of my other projects.
I’m engaged to be married in September 2008. A long journey has found a happy ending.

About This Site
This site is a tool for me to vent my opinions, keep track of events that are important to me, promote projects I’m involved with, and chronicle my life. I haven’t put this site to use as much as I’ve wanted to, so along with this new redesign I’m vowing many more posts (working for at least 5 per week month).
Although this site was designed to be compatible with as many browsers as possible, you’ll have the best luck viewing this site with the latest versions of your favorite browsers. For maximum compatibility, Get Firefox!
